Construction Manager – Insurance Building | South East Queensland
A leading Insurance Builder in South East Queensland is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of Strata, Commercial and Domestic building repair projects. This role is central to ensuring high‐quality outcomes for clients following insurance events, while driving operational excellence across multiple teams.
About the Role
As the Construction Manager, you will take ownership of end‐to‐end project delivery across a range of insurance building repairs. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure all projects meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards. This is a dynamic position suited to a confident leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Team Management
o Lead and support Supervisors, Estimators, Make Safe personnel and Contract Administrators.
o Foster a collaborative, high‐performance culture across all project teams.
o Provide clear direction, resolve on‐site issues, and ensure consistent project delivery.
o Conduct weekly one‐on‐one meetings and oversee regular reporting.
* Stakeholder Engagement
o Act as the primary liaison for Insurance clients, Engineers, Building Consultants, Suppliers and Contractors.
o Maintain transparent communication on project progress, risks and timelines.
o Ensure suppliers and contractors deliver high‐quality repairs aligned with client expectations.
* Risk, Safety & Compliance
o Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, including safety, financial and operational challenges.
o Ensure strict adherence to WHS requirements and industry best practice.
o Maintain compliance with Queensland building regulations and insurance industry standards.
About YouQualifications & Experience
* Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
* Proven experience in Construction Management, ideally within the insurance building sector.
* Strong understanding of Queensland building codes, regulations and insurance processes.
* Experience with Prime Ecosystem software is highly regarded.
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
* Demonstrated leadership capability with a focus on team development and performance.
* Proficiency in construction management software and digital tools.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and adaptability in fast‐paced environments.
Licences & Certifications
* Construction White Card.
* QBCC Builder's Licence (required).
* Additional WHS qualifications are advantageous.
* Based in South East Queensland with regular travel to project sites.
* Combination of office‐based responsibilities and on‐site inspections.
