As the video market develops locally and globally this role will develop the growth strategy including emerging models of partnership and offerings in market. The role sits on the senior leadership team and reports to the ANZ market Director. We are seeking a highly commercial, analytical, creative, visionary leader who understands how to harness their experience to influence and drive outcomes for the TV business as the local market evolves and develops. An ability to identify opportunities and have the nous and experience to build the business case and influence key stakeholders for support to deliver to market execution as a senior leader playing a key role in the evolution of Apple’s video strategy. We are looking for a self starter who has led and developed subscription businesses and therefore understands the drivers for customer success Description In this role, you will: - Build the local video strategy as the business scales and engage various global stakeholders to support the plan. - Identify strategic partnerships to drive subscriptions working with affiliates, resellers and distribution channels. - Build the business case and influence key global stakeholders to support your initiatives and provide resource allocation. - Participate at the global video leadership forums for feedback and identification of opportunities for the video business. - Identify new markets and segments for subscription growth and leverage your established network of partners to drive opportunities. - Analyse competitor offerings and pricing strategies in order to create subscription plans (pricing). - Optimise customer acquisition and retention strategies. - Define whats next by building, maintaining and growing business relationships with established and prospective partners, generating innovative business models yet to be imagined. - Influence global video teams to ensure Australia receives investment and focus for market leadership in category ie be the best! - Take a data-led approach to optimise performance and growth. Inspire and lead a team of that have a shared goal: to present our customers with the most engaging and relevant movies and TV shows, across both transactional (TVOD and EST) and subscription offerings. Identify innovative opportunities via market analysis, performance analysis, commercial initiatives, partner management and editorial initiatives for growing the underlying drivers of the business. Work collaboratively with multiple functions such as marketing, sales and product teams to create and develop opportunities for Video within the wider Apple ecosystem. Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate/post graduate degree. At least 15 years extensive leadership experience in the movie and TV industry, both in digital transactional and subscription businesses. Experience working within a global matrixed organisation that requires an ability to advocate and influence outcomes. Strong commercial, financial and analytical acumen. Ability to define and execute new opportunities in market. Experience in the Australian video marketplace, content rights and distribution, with a view of key trends and players, through a strong local and international network. Experience driving growth in a subscription business. Proficiency in English. Preferred Qualifications Occasional international travel may be required. Ability to define long-term development strategies within a global, multi-layered organisation. Proven success managing partnerships, with experience in leading commercial strategies and planning. Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to clearly present business insights to Senior Leadership. Excellent management skills: setting goals, driving performance and developing a team, fostering collaboration and a can-do attitude. Proactive, results-driven and highly adaptable attitude, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
