Procurement Category Manager Role
The Queensland government is investing in its future through a significant capital investment in health infrastructure. A key project in this endeavor is the Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) System Procurement Project.
This role plays a crucial part in delivering value for money by implementing category strategies and plans that incorporate best practice procurement processes and outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and lead complex tenders to deliver specialist support in sourcing and category management activities.
* Maintain knowledge of supplier markets, capabilities, and technology to facilitate long-term agreements and partnerships between suppliers and projects.
* Implement contract management strategies and techniques, including negotiation and tender evaluation processes.
* Manage customer and supplier relationships to resolve performance issues and ensure materials/services are delivered according to contract.
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve commercial solutions.
