We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and community-minded Sales Representative to join URM's Commercial Waste and Recycling team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meeting new people, and is passionate about helping businesses improve their waste management performance through sustainable, cost‑effective solutions.
You will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and representing URM's values and service excellence across the extended business community we proudly serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
* Identify, engage, and secure new commercial customers across diverse industries.
* Conduct site assessments to understand customer waste needs and propose tailored URM service solutions.
* Prepare and deliver professional proposals, quotes, and service recommendations.
Customer Relationship Management
* Build strong, ongoing relationships with existing customers to support retention and service growth.
* Provide high-level customer support, troubleshooting service queries and collaborating internally to resolve issues quickly.
* Ensure customers understand URM's recycling and resource-recovery capabilities to maximise sustainability outcomes.
Market & Community Engagement
* Actively represent URM within the local business community, promoting waste education, recycling initiatives, and service benefits.
* Attend networking events, industry forums, and local business gatherings as a URM ambassador.
Collaboration & Internal Support
* Work closely with operations, customer service, and contract management teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
* Contribute to team sales objectives and provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.

Qualifications & Experience (Preferred but Not Essential)
* Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer service.
* Knowledge of waste, recycling, or environmental services (training provided).
* Valid driver's licence.
