As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking sourdough loaves and pastries, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and bake sourdough loaves and pastries
* Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough
* Inspect production premises and ensure cleanliness and hygiene
* Ensure quality and used-by dates of ingredients and use stocks effectively (FIFO)
* Operate machines to roll and mould dough
* Check quality of raw materials and weigh ingredients
* Glaze buns and pastries, and decorate cakes with cream and icing
* Coordinate forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of bread, rolls and pastry products
* Empty, clean and grease trays, tins and other cooking utensils
Requirements:
* Certificate III level qualification in baking or related field
* Previous experience in a bakery or food production setting preferred
* Knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
* Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
