The Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Legal or a Senior Legal Counsel to step up and join their high-performing team in Adelaide. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide strategic legal support across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects, playing a key role in the development and execution of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and other significant infrastructure initiatives.
In this role, you will:
* Draft, review, and negotiate a range of complex project agreements, including PPPs and long-term infrastructure contracts.
* Provide legal advice on risk management, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
* Manage legal aspects of major infrastructure developments from inception to delivery.
* Advise on contract strategy, claims management, and dispute avoidance, ensuring smooth project execution.
* Support key commercial decisions within the business, driving project success through sound legal guidance.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of PAE (Post Admission Experience) from a reputable law firm or in-house role, with extensive experience in front-end legal work and project delivery within the infrastructure sector.
Key attributes include:
* Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex construction and infrastructure contracts.
* Practical experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on contract strategy, claims management, and dispute resolution.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to navigate and resolve complex challenges.
* Capability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
