Position Summary
As a Country Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our company's operations in Australia and New Zealand. You will play a key role in developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the company's growth, profitability, and market presence in the region.
Key responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning:
2. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives in Australia
3. Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for growth.
4. Collaborate with the global leadership team to align local strategies with overall company goals.
5. Operational Management:
6. Drive market-specific initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure execution of business strategies
7. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Manage financial performance and budgeting for the country.
9. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
10. Market Expansion and Local Partner Relations
11. Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the company's market share.
12. Establish and nurture relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
13. Conduct meetings with airline partners (existing or new)
14. Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes.
15. Compliance and Risk Management:
16. Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
17. Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact the company's operations.
18. Implement and maintain ethical business practices.
Requirements
19. Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics and Engineering, or in Business Administration or related field
20. Proven experience as a Country Manager or in a similar capacity
21. Business acumen and strong project management skills
22. Self-motivated with ability to take ownership in a fast growing environment
23. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving business objectives
24. Data-driven with a 360 view thinking along with strong critical and analytical skills
25. Comfortable with data analysis
26. Strong communication & presentation skills as well as excellent command of English
27. Strong leadership and decision-making skills
28. Ability to work collaboratively with a global team
29. Understanding of the local market and business landscape
30. Industry knowledge will be considered a plus
31. Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes and multiple priorities
