Senior Systems Engineer
Experience:

Role Purpose:
To manage, optimise, and secure enterprise Linux and Windows server environments while supporting business‑critical operations through automation, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and security compliance. Ensures IT systems remain highly available, resilient, and aligned with organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
Monitor and analyse system performance, proactively resolving issues.
Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Automate processes using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
Troubleshoot complex server, network, and application issues.
Provide Level 2/3 support for system, network, and application matters.
Support Office 365 and Azure AD environments, including licensing and admin reviews.
Participate in hardware/software upgrades and infrastructure projects.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and system configuration records.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years in system administration, IT support, or systems engineering.
Strong experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
Automation/scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Experience with Office 365, Azure AD, and Endpoint Manager.
Bachelor's Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
Good in Linux, Shell Scripting, System Maintenance, C++, HTML/CSS.
