Role Overview:
The successful Veterinarian candidate will be responsible for managing poultry Veterinary Health and regulatory activities, maintaining and optimising health standards through the process of implementation of prescribed monitoring, Biosecurity and Animal Welfare in cooperation with the Director of Global Health Monitoring.
Liaising with government and industry responsible authorities for importing and exporting genetic stock is also a key aspect of this role.
* 4+ years of experience in an associated field or familiar industry
* Necessary recognised qualifications registered or registerable in Australia (and New Zealand)
* An existing visa with open work right in Australia
* Ability to meet biosecurity requirements
Key Responsibilities
Poultry Veterinary Health and Regulatory Activities: The Veterinarian will manage poultry veterinary health and regulatory activities, including monitoring and implementing biosecurity measures to maintain optimal health standards.
Biosecurity and Animal Welfare: In cooperation with the Director of Global Health Monitoring, the Veterinarian will ensure that animal welfare standards are maintained and biosecurity measures are implemented to prevent disease outbreaks.
Liaison with Government and Industry Authorities: The Veterinarian will liaise with government and industry authorities for importing and exporting genetic stock, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
