Academic Leadership in Midwifery Education
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Lecturer to provide academic leadership in contemporary midwifery education and research.
* Teach into undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery programs, supporting curriculum innovation and development.
* Supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research students, guiding them towards excellence.
* Conduct high-impact research aligned with our strategic focus areas, contributing to the midwifery research agenda.
* Collaborate across disciplines and with industry to inform evidence-based practice, transforming maternity services and improving maternal and newborn outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development of innovative midwifery curricula, ensuring relevance to industry needs.
2. Design and deliver engaging teaching and learning experiences that foster student success.
3. Mentor junior academics, promoting their professional growth and development.
4. Build partnerships with external stakeholders to strengthen our connections within the health sector and broader community.
Requirements:
* Doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a midwife or ability to apply and obtain.
* A strong research track record, including successful research grants and publications in high-quality journals.
