With rapid growth in Australia, Pylontech has established a strong presence through key distributors and installer networks. Our Australian headquarters is based in Sydney, supporting nationwide operations.
We are now entering the next phase of growth and are looking to expand our channel sales team to further increase market share in the residential battery sector.
The Role
We are seeking a Sales Manager – Residential Channel to drive growth across Australia.
This is a hands-on, channel-focused role, responsible for:
* Expanding installer and retailer networks
* Driving sales performance and market share
Location is flexible across Australia (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane preferred), with regular travel required.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Australian residential ESS market
* Drive revenue growth through distributor, installer, and retail channels
* Increase market share and brand presence across key states
* Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key partners
* Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day channel operations
* Support partners with product positioning, pricing, promotions, and sales enablement
* Drive sell-through performance and improve share of wallet within key accounts
* Identify, onboard, and develop top installers and major solar retailers
* Conduct regular meetings, site visits, and relationship-building activities
* Support partners with system solutions, proposals, and commercial discussions
* Deliver product training, webinars, and sales enablement sessions to partner teams
* Work with marketing to execute campaigns, roadshows, and promotional activities
* Strengthen brand awareness and lead generation in the market
* Manage pipeline, sales forecasting, and order tracking
* Monitor performance, track key metrics, and report on progress
* Handle day-to-day partner inquiries and support requests
* Analyse market trends and competitor activities
* Provide structured feedback on customer needs, pricing, and product improvements
* Support new product launches and strategic initiatives (e.g. VPP / retailer integration)
What We're Looking For
Experience
* 3–5+ years experience in solar, battery, or renewable energy industry in Australia
* Strong background in channel sales / distributor management
* Experience working with installers, wholesalers, or EPC partners
Industry Knowledge
* Solid understanding of the Australian solar + battery market
* Familiar with installer ecosystem, distribution landscape, and rebate environment
Skills & Attributes
* Strong relationship management and communication skills
* Hands-on, proactive, and results-driven mindset
* Ability to train and influence partner sales teams
* Strong commercial awareness and execution capability
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Full working rights in Australia
* Valid driver's licence
* Willingness to travel regularly
