Research Ally Position
The Australian National University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to contribute to an ARC Indigenous Discovery Project. The project aims to investigate attitudes towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and identify pathways to non-Indigenous allyship.
About the Role:
* To conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the project's objectives.
* To contribute to academic publications and conference presentations.
* To support ethics, reporting, and coordination tasks related to the project.
* To contribute to the collegial and inclusive research culture of the School.
* To assist in mentoring students and supporting research-related teaching where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
* A PhD (or near completion) in psychology, sociology, political science, Indigenous studies, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience or strong interest in research related to social attitudes, allyship, or Indigenous rights.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities is highly desirable.
