This 12-week program is the first step in a structured pathway from university to a permanent professional role at Newmont PNG, at our Lihir operation.

Get a head start toward our Graduate Development Program
Program start date: November 10th, 2025
Eligibility: You must be in your 2nd or 3rd year of studying Mechanical Engineering
2. Graduate Development Program
Take your degree to the next level with our 2-year Graduate Development Program, designed to launch you into a full-time role with Newmont PNG.
Rotate across departments and projects
Learn cutting-edge, safe, and innovative mining practices
Customize your path with specialist or supervisory career streams
Build your professional network and grow with industry leaders
Program start date: January 19th, 2026
Eligibility: Open to graduates from 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a strong GPA
Applicants must be citizens of Papua New Guinea
