As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in building elegant, performant, and scalable mobile applications that power how the music industry works. You’ll be hands‑on in code, mentor other engineers, and help drive technical excellence across the mobile platform.
You’ll:
- Build and ship cross‑platform mobile applications in React Native, contributing to the long‑term mobile vision
- Write clean, scalable, and performant code that delivers a world‑class user experience
- Design with offline capabilities, platform conventions, and security in mind
- Champion a culture of documentation, testing, and knowledge‑sharing
- Lead planning and discussions for complex mobile projects
- Contribute to mobile development tooling, build systems, and CI/CD processes
- Stay curious - keep up with the latest in React Native and mobile best practices
- Mentor and inspire other engineers on the team
About you
You’re a builder, mentor, and problem‑solver who thrives on delivering outstanding mobile experiences. You bring:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years building commercial React Native apps
- Deep understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and performance optimisation
- Experience with platform APIs, async handling, push notifications, and background tasks
- Familiarity with Expo, mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Maestro), and Git workflows
- The right to work in Australia
- BONUS: experience with audio player integrations is highly desirable
