Responsibilities
Our social support volunteers play important roles in people's lives: keeping people connected, active, and able to participate in the activities they love, such as card games, chess, reading, art. Our volunteers also help residents use smart devices to connect with family and provide wonderful companionship by engaging in conversation and offering friendship.
What you need
* An interest in people and genuine interactions
* Active listening skills
* A few hours a week
* Hobbies or interests you are willing to share (e.g., gardening, playing chess, knitting, reading, music, bilingual, walking groups, and others)
* Willing to assist those with Dementia
