Cost Managers/Senior Cost Managers – Australia wide

Turner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost management and consulting across the property, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients Australia wide, our Cost Management division is recruiting for Cost Managers at various levels in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Responsibilities
* Work across Retail, Health, Education, Defence, Infrastructure and Natural Resources.
* Collaborate and develop good relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally.
* Responsible for pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
* Complete feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
* Estimate and plan costs, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
* Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling contractual documents.
* Take personal responsibility for cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation take place.
* Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client.
* Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
Qualifications
* A recognised Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* MRICS / AIQS accreditation ideal.
* Relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
* Proficiency in the use of CostX, advantageous.
* Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, be a team player and work autonomously.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
* Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients, able to work independently.
