BOTTLE SHOP MANAGER – IGA / Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and motivated Bottle Shop Manager to lead our retail liquor outlet within the IGA Supermarket. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of the store, driving sales performance, managing inventory, and leading a small team to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Your Role
As Bottle Shop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the outlet, ensuring strong sales performance, excellent merchandising, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will lead and develop your team while maintaining high standards of service and store presentation.
Where you'll make an impact
* Lead, coach, and develop a small team of retail staff
* Maintain stock levels and manage ordering processes
* Monitor sales performance and manage aged stock
* Coordinate and conduct regular stocktakes
* Manage inventory through Finance 1 reporting and analysis
* Deliver strong merchandising, promotions, and product presentation
* Conduct product tastings with suppliers and internal teams
* Ensure RSA compliance and safe service of alcohol
* Provide reporting and insights to management
* Coordinate store maintenance and support IT issues when required
* Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers

To be successful, you will need:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a bottle shop or liquor retail role (Essential)
* QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) (Essential)
* Current Driver's Licence (Essential)
* Forklift Licence (Desirable)
* First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations
* Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
* Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
* Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
