Risk & Assurance Manager – Full Time

About the Role
The Risk & Assurance Manager leads the enterprise risk management and assurance framework for Solstice Energy, ensuring risks are clearly defined, well controlled and transparently monitored and reported on. The role provides high-quality insights, facilitates structured risk assessment processes, delivers targeted assurance activities and supports safe, reliable and compliant operations across the Solstice network and corporate environment.
You'll partner closely with our operations teams and leaders to ensure risks are well understood, effectively managed and clearly reported, helping us maintain safe, reliable and compliant operations across our network and corporate environment.
What You'll Do
* Lead and embed the enterprise Risk Management Framework across the organisation
* Facilitate risk identification, assessment and treatment planning across operational, corporate and strategic activities
* Maintain strategic and operational risk registers with clear ownership and accountability
* Deliver the annual assurance program, incorporating second-line assurance activities that test control effectiveness
* Conduct internal reviews and audits to test the effectiveness of controls across the organisation.
* Partner with operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are understood, documented and met.
* Maintain governance frameworks related to risk, assurance and compliance.
* Prepare high-quality Board and ELT papers with trends, insights and recommendations.
* Translate complex risk and assurance data into clear insights.
What you'll bring
* Strong experience in enterprise risk management, assurance or internal audit, ideally within a regulated environment
* Demonstrated ability to simplify complex risk information for senior leaders and Boards
* Confident facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
* High-quality written communication and reporting capability
* Sound judgement with a practical, solutions-focused approach
* Ability to challenge constructively while maintaining trusted relationships
* Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in risk, business, audit, law or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Professional certification (e.g. internal audit or risk-related) highly regarded
