Aboriginal Practice Officer
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Aboriginal Practice Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people involved in the justice system and will be able to develop and implement effective strategies to address these challenges.
They will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and plan regional coordination and implementation of cultural programs and initiatives, facilitating the identification of and access to people and resources to enhance effective practice.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing effective strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders, and facilitating the identification of and access to people and resources to enhance effective practice.
The successful candidate will also provide direct input to the development of the Community and Custodial priorities and plans, reflecting the objectives of the Youth Justice Aboriginal Strategic Directions (ASD) and the Aboriginal Employment Strategy.
