Qualifications & experience
Certificate III in Dental Assisting (highly desirable)
Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (desirable)
Well developed interpersonal skills, enabling quick rapport with patients.
A positve working style- ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic enviroment whilst maintaing a calm, friendly and professional demeanour
Good computer literacy and organisational skills, Experience in the Gentu software package is advantageous
Our administrative and clinical team will train and mentor the successful candidate so you can reach your full potential.
Tasks & responsibilities
As the first point of contact of our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere with your excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Manage incoming phone calls and emails for the practice
Schedule patient appointments and communicate bookings and patient needs with the surgeon/dental staff
Process payments, Medicare rebates and provide information regarding health insurance rebates and other claims
Providing general administrative support to the practice
Preparing patient and facilities for treatment and assisting surgeons during patient examinations and procedures in our rooms and occasionally at other locations
Sterilising and mantaining dental instruments and equipments to meet the current standards of infection control
Assist with dental radiography (where licensed).
Assisting in surgical procedures and preparing operating room
Work alongside our highly skilled, clinically diverse and passionate team of surgeons in our modern dental practice with state-of-the-art facilities and free, on-site parking.
Be a part of a supportive and friendly team
You will be working Monday through Friday with no weekend hours or after hours shifts
Significant skill development through exposure to advanced surgical procedures
Support to obtain more advanced qualifications.
