An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Accounts and Administrative Assistant to join our fast-growing team at HUESKER Australia. This role provides essential support to our finance, sales, and business development teams, ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate financial processing, and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a diverse position suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping processes running efficiently. You'll play a key part in our accounts payable function while also supporting general administrative and customer service activities across the business.


Key Responsibilities


Accounts Payable & Financial Administration

* Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities by ensuring all payable items are correctly recorded.
* Verify the validity and accuracy of vendor invoices, supporting efficient and accurate payment processes.
* Reconcile accounts, investigate variances, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
* Monitor and process travel and business expenses, including corporate credit card transactions, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
* Follow up on missing supplier invoices and take required action to ensure timely payments.
* Respond promptly to vendor enquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
* Assist with other accounts payable and administrative tasks as required.


Administrative & Team Support

* Provide administrative support to the sales and business development teams.
* Assist with preparing proposals, invoices, quotes, and other documents as needed.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth operational flow.
* Contribute to customer service activities via phone and email.
* Support stocktake activities at various storage locations.
* Assist with logistics coordination and general office administration.


What We're Looking For

1. Experience & Technical Skills
2. 2–3 years' experience in accounts payable or similar financial administration role.
3. Strong understanding of account reconciliation and document accuracy.
4. Proficiency with SAP and DEXT (highly regarded).
5. Strong numeracy skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
7. Experience in administrative or order-processing roles is advantageous.

10. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and follow through.
11. Excellent customer service and phone manner.

15. A valid driver's licence.
16. Qualifications
17. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
