Job Title – MuleSoft Developer
Job Location – Sydney/Melbourne - Open for both locations
Employment Type – Permanent/Full-time
Work Authorization: Applicants must have valid working/unlimited working rights in Australia. (Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available for this role)
Note: Must have Java development and Spring boot framework experience. Plus API Integration.
Role Overview
As a MuleSoft Developer, you will design, build, and optimize scalable API-led integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
You will work across enterprise systems including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, and third-party SaaS platforms, delivering secure, high-performance integration architectures aligned to enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement API-led connectivity (Experience, Process, and System APIs) on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
* Develop enterprise integrations across databases, file systems, cloud platforms, and SaaS applications
* Build advanced DataWeave transformations (JSON, XML, CSV, binary, Base64)
* Deploy and manage APIs on MuleSoft CloudHub
* Implement enterprise-grade security including TLS 1.2, OAuth 2.0, Two-way SSL, PGP/JCI encryption
* Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end integration solutions
* Develop MUnit test cases and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, CircleCI and enterprise DevOps tooling
* Maintain high-quality documentation, reusable assets, and participate in code reviews
* Support production environments with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimisation
Technical Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Design Center
* Expertise in DataWeave 2.0, RAML/OpenAPI specifications
* Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, and cloud integration patterns
* Familiarity with DevOps tools including GitHub, Maven, CircleCI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Nexus, Postman
* Hands‐on experience with MuleSoft connectors (HTTP, Database, File, JMS, Anypoint MQ, Object Store)
* Experience with enterprise integration patterns (sync/async, pub‐sub, batch processing, retries, idempotency, circuit breakers)
* CI/CD pipeline automation, artifact versioning, environment promotion, and quality gates
* Observability using Anypoint Monitoring, dashboards, log correlation, and proactive alerting
* Exposure to modern developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, MuleSoft Vibes, and Einstein AI
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
* MuleSoft certifications (Developer or Integration Architect) highly desirable
* Proven ability to deliver enterprise‐grade, production‐ready integration solutions.
