The Team
LGH Food Services is a fast‐paced supportive team responsible for delivering high‐quality meals to over 300 patients daily, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, operating 365 days a year.
This role involves shift work with early morning starts and includes a combination of weekday and weekend shifts, ensuring essential services are maintained at all times.
The Role
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures and guidelines, provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons of Launceston General Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware‐washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
* Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
* Be responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). The employee also receives a 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
