Supporting vulnerable children and young people in foster care is at the heart of this vital role. As a Supervised Contact Worker, you will play a pivotal part in strengthening family relationships, promoting children's wellbeing, and facilitating their safe connections with loved ones.
This hands-on position involves working flexible hours across seven days, with a focus on shift times between 6am and 6pm. You will be responsible for planning and delivering safe and meaningful family time sessions, providing mentoring support to children and young people in various settings, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and facilitate safe and engaging family time sessions that cater to the unique needs of each child or young person
* Provide one-to-one mentoring support to children and young people across diverse settings, including community-based programs and residential facilities
* Foster positive, respectful relationships with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaborative practice
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive written updates, reports, and case documentation, adhering to relevant standards and guidelines
In order to excel in this role, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as possessing a current NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, are also mandatory requirements.
