SA Portable Long Service Leave - Construction Industry administers portable long service leave entitlements for the South Australian construction industry in accordance with the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act **** (the Act).
As a Compliance Officer, you will be appointed as an Inspector under the Act and will ensure employers meet their obligations. You will investigate potential breaches, work directly with employers and employees to resolve non-compliance and, where necessary, progress matters through legal channels.
A typical week may include conducting investigations and audits, reviewing employer records, completing retrospective calculations and clarifying obligations and entitlements with employers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Providing clear and accurate information to employers, employees and stakeholders on obligations under the Act.
Conducting investigations into potential breaches.
Undertaking audits of employer records and processes.
Assessing and processing employer registration applications.
Performing retrospective entitlement calculations.
About You
Demonstrated experience in governance, legislative compliance or a related field.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Knowledge of compliance assessment processes including documenting and investigating matters of a litigious nature.
Excellent MS suite skills with proficiency in Excel.
Current National Police Clearance.
Knowledge of construction industry regulations or Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act is highly desirable.
