Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Lead, the Senior Solutions Consultant (M365) will be working as a Senior member of the team in both a support and delivery-based role. It is anticipated the duties will be focused on consulting, development, architecture as well as mentoring and leading the junior members in the team.
Responsibilities
* Consulting, Configuring and Developing on Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Power Platform, MS Teams and other associated Apps.
* Deliver Enterprise solutions and applications on the M365 platform including Azure and Purview.
* Deliver and assist with management of Cloud and On-Premise environments in the Enterprise Application space including SharePoint Server and SQL Server.
* Ensure that their end product deliverable operates in a secure manner as is consistent with the overall OSG line of business.
* Work with clients to gain a full understanding of their functional and non-functional solution requirements.
* Understand contracts underlying projects and pursue opportunities to facilitate change, increase revenue and reduce threats and improve financial performance. Manage project within commercial (impact / implications) of the contract.
* Identify opportunities for new business and new service offerings.
* Support the sales team on product demonstrations, proposals, documentation, and designs.
* Mentor and support junior consultants, providing technical guidance and promoting best practices in M365 development.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, including process optimizations and enhancements.
* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in M365 development and configuration.
* Follow defined and documented solutions methodologies.
Experience and Qualification
Our ideal candidate will have developed an exposure to solutions development, documentation, assessment and should bring a degree of Subject Matter Expertise in their area.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Information Technology or related discipline.
* Scope, design and analyse solutions for Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange), Power Platform, Azure, and Entra ID.
* Ability to develop applications and solutions in Microsoft 365 platform.
* Current state assessment, review and enhancements of existing solutions developed for Azure, Office 365, SharePoint Online or SharePoint On-Premises.
* Ability to develop, design and deploy information architecture in SharePoint intranet, EDMS and CDMS builds.
* SharePoint Designer, Nintex, K2 and custom workflows knowledge including ability to troubleshoot workflows.
* Demonstrable experience at configuring, administering and developing in SharePoint, MS Teams, Purview, Power Apps and Power Automate.
* Demonstrated experience in M365 Migrations – File Server to M365, Google to M365, M365 tenant to tenant, including leveraging third party tools such as ShareGate and AvePoint.
* Ability to manage and troubleshoot issues with SharePoint Server and SQL Server on premise environments.
* Familiarity with administering and working with Azure and Entra ID.
* Ability to produce high level project documentation for workshops and project deliverables – discovery, design, user guides, support, and handover.
* Ability to delivery end-user, administrators and product training.
* Exceptional communications skills, including engaging with internal teams, vendors and customers.
* Demonstrated experience working within a defined scope and analyse solutions.
* Ability to convey clear and quality advice based on technical knowledge.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. M365).
* Demonstrated experience of testing solutions prior to delivery.
* Manage work and project time including the potential to be across multiple projects.
Additional Traits and Experience
* A minimum of eight years’ experience as a solutions consultant or architect in their field of expertise.
* Exceptional communications skills, including engaging with internal teams, vendors and customers.
* Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
* Ability to convey clear and quality advice based on technical knowledge.
* Agile Certification.
* Project management and project delivery governance frameworks.
* Knowledge and delivery experience in AI (Copilot) for M365, Agentic AI and Business App AI or similar.
* Knowledge and experience with Power BI and Dynamics.
* Understanding and experience in MS Fabric.
* Understanding and experience in records management (GDA, BCS) – SharePoint, Open Text, Record Point, AvePoint Pous, etc.
* Experience in API development and Integration.
* Experience in Dynamics 365.
* Experience in administering Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, UAG Server, FIM Server, BizTalk and their respective hybrid architectures.
* Experience in MS Teams Telephony.
* Experience in Intune device and application management.
