About the Position
The Chief Geologist will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of exploration projects. This includes generating new project initiatives.
* Develop and manage the project's exploration strategy, plans, and resources while contributing to organizational exploration principles, standards, strategy, and plans.
* Lead the interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to understand the significance of results and to define follow-up program designs.
* Undertake target generation from all available data and continuously rank and prioritise identified targets.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Geologist will have the following key responsibilities:
* Contribute to project generation by identifying new opportunities and business development activities for the exploration portfolio.
* Manage the collection and interpretation of exploration data from drilling, geophysical, geochemical, and geological programs, ensuring quality control and quality assurance.
* Manage field geological mapping, drill-hole logging, stream sediment, soil, and rock-chip geochemical sampling and geophysical programs.
