WGA is an Australian and New Zealand company owned by employees, with long-term clients and deep roots in our communities. With a team of over 700 people, WGA provides a rich, diverse, and empowered workplace and offers opportunities to work alongside some of the best in the business.

WGA offers an outstanding working environment that fosters mutual learning, respect, dignity, cultural openness, and an appreciation of differing perspectives and backgrounds. We strive to offer inspiring career paths and a selection of employee benefits. If you enjoy a great office environment, excellent flexibility and the long-term benefits that only a private organisation can offer, then WGA might be for you.

We deliver tailored design engineering solutions across the Buildings, Transport, Water Infrastructure, Urban Development, Ports and Marine, Energy, Defence and Resources sectors. We empower our engineers to think outside the square and dare to be different.

About Our Approach

We focus on delivering excellent engineering solutions for our valued Clients which allows us to create exceptional, long-term opportunities for our talented personnel. Our project delivery style ensures that our people don't have to choose between maintaining hands-on technical work and corporate career options — they can have both.

About Our Role

Our Hobart based team needs support. It's a great time to join WGA and our newly established Hobart office and add immediate value, working collaboratively with our Melbourne admin team and our national admin team. We are seeking an experienced office manager / admin lead to join our team. The role is an important connection for our VIC/TAS region. You'll be supporting a team of 6 located in Hobart which will expand over time.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

* Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to build effective and inclusive relationships
* Previous experience in an office management / administration / project support role with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent computer skills and intermediate capability with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement — you'll work closely with the internal team from undergraduates through to regional managers, and you'll be an ambassador for our Hobart office
* Excellent time management and prioritising skills with the ability to proactively anticipate challenges and drive actions
* The ability to exercise sound judgment and find solutions to problems
* The ability to work collaboratively with the national admin team

About Working With Us

We believe a diverse workplace fosters unique and progressive ideas and drives our culture of learning and sharing knowledge. Underpinned by our values, we offer an outstanding working environment that fosters mutual learning, respect, dignity, cultural openness and an appreciation of differing perspectives and backgrounds.
