About the Role
This role is with a growing e-commerce platform business with operations across Australia and the United States. Seeking a Head of IT to take full ownership of the technology landscape and ensure the systems are fit for purpose, scalable, and aligned to how the business operates today - and ensure we are future-proof for the scale we are planning.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, investigating how systems truly work, and making clear recommendations on what technology is right for the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the end-to-end IT and systems landscape, including e-commerce platforms, ERP, POS, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems.
* Investigate current platforms and workflows, identifying risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
* Evaluate and recommend system changes, upgrades, or replacements based on business needs.
* Ensure platform stability, performance, security, and data integrity.
* Lead system implementations, upgrades, and vendor relationships across AU operations.
* Establish IT policies, security controls, and disaster recovery plans.
* Act as the senior technical advisor to leadership, translating technical decisions into business outcomes.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within an e-commerce, retail, or platform business.
* Strong background in system analysis, integrations, and platform ownership.
* Experience working with e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, POS, and cloud infrastructure.
* Confident decision-maker with a practical, business-first mindset.
* Strong communication skills and experience supporting teams across multiple regions.
* Security-focused with experience managing risk, vendors, and compliance.
