The role of a Head Chef at the Albury Wodonga Military Area is critical in ensuring our Australian Defence Force remains healthy, comfortable, and satisfied with their experience.
The Position:
* This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday with minimal weekends and nights.
* As a highly organised Head Chef, you will collaborate with your team to deliver premium experiences across daily mess meals and events.
* You will be responsible for maintaining all catering and stock controls, OH&S compliance, and HACCP while focusing on waste reduction.
* Forecasting food requirements, ordering, and stock control are essential responsibilities.
* Drive exceptional food safety and quality, with a focus on allergen and dietary requirements.
* Demonstrate high-level knowledge and experience of operational and financial performances of the Defence business.
The Person:
* A Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery is required.
* Three or more years of experience as a Head Chef in similar venues is necessary.
* Comfortable with people management, training, and development is essential.
* High-level knowledge in HACCP, allergen management, and food safety is crucial.
* A proven team leader with high-level organisational skills who can work autonomously, with initiative, and under pressure.
