CSBS Group are seeking an experienced Support Worker team to assist a 62-year-old female flourish in Gympie.
As this is a new service commencing, we have a mixture of full-time, part time and casual positions available. Once a second Participant moves into this location, we will also be seeking a full time Lead Support Worker.
This Participant has had a right-side stroke which has resulted in immobility on her left side. Support Workers will be required to provide:
· Physical assistance for transfers and mobilising.
· Personal care supports.
· Stoma care
· Undertake meal preparation and domestic tasks.
· Provide transport for community access for attending appointments, shopping, and social participation.
All successful applicants will need to share in all shift times to make the roster fair and equitable for every team member. Supports are provided 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, which include passive sleepover support and/or active overnight shifts.
About you
We are particularly interested in applicants who have a minimum of 24 months experience supporting individuals in complex Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
These roles would be best suited to applicants with clinical skills, EN/RN/AIN’s seeking employment as a Support Worker are encouraged to apply.
A tertiary qualification, ideally with a minimum Certificate III level in Disability or Aged Care, would be considered highly desirable.
Proficiency in supporting people the below is essential:
· Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
· Stoma care
Relevant probity items required
· an Open Queensland Driver's Licence
· a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
· a current First Aid & CPR Certificate
· a reliable smartphone with data
· completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
