About the Role
As part of Wisely’s expanding Field Service Division, you’ll deliver high-quality on-site maintenance, breakdown support, and technical services across client operations. We’re looking for skilled Heavy Diesel Fitters who enjoy working in dynamic field environments and are committed to safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
* Perform on-site diagnostics, fault finding, and breakdown repairs
* Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
* Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
* Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records
* Ensure compliance with OEM standards and site safety requirements
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and site personnel
* Provide support across additional company sites as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Australian Trade Qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
* Experience in field service or heavy equipment maintenance
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Experience working on mining, civil, or heavy earthmoving equipment including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Liebherr
* Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance
* Current Driver’s Licence (HR desirable)
* Standard 11 – Surface Coal certification
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
* Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* Flexibility to remain site-based and transfer between sites if required
