The Accounts Officer Role
As the Accounts Officer at Thrive Teach Nurture Grow Inc., you will take the leading role in family invoicing, staff payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring our wonderful charitable organisation remains transparent, accountable, and efficient. You will join a fabulous team of big-hearted professionals and a beautiful community of children, families and allied professionals.
This is a part-time role (8 hours per week) with the chance for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and issue timely, accurate invoices to families for a range of programs and services.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of NDIS and Medicare processes and procedures for effective administration.
- Administer end-to-end payroll for all staff, including compliance with relevant awards, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports, supporting management in monitoring budgets, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Reconcile accounts and manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of family and staff financial information.
- Respond to family and staff enquiries about accounts and payments in a supportive and professional manner.
- Assist with audits, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with our administration and leadership teams on finance-related projects and process improvements.
About You
- Previous experience in accounting, payroll, or financial administration (medical, allied health or school sector experience highly regarded).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or financial administration.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Xero with ability to manage multiple functions effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Understanding of Halaxy software is an advantage.
- Ability to manage your workload independently while thriving in a collaborative team.
