Sedgman is in the process of recruiting a skilled Layout Designer with hands‑on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This position involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on layout expertise.

Key Responsibilities
* Ability to take an engineering concept and convert it into a 3D design.
* Check drafting deliverables for accuracy, completeness and adherence to design specifications & intent.
* Apply attention and diligence to uphold quality standards, and client requirements, to complete tasks efficiently.
* Create 3D designs from complex, multidiscipline engineering concepts.
About You
* 10 + years of industry experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
* Lithium brine experience highly desirable
* A strong understanding of relevant Australian standards.
* Experience with projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & occasional MicroStation 2D
* Proficiency in AutoDesk 3D modelling programs, such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault and Plant3D
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Previous skills or interests to expand into SMP design
* Willingness to adapt to a changing role
* Proven skills in Advanced Steel
* AutoCAD Plant 3D Smart PID integration is desirable but not essential.
