This role will develop and implement regulatory frameworks, regulatory policies and projects, guidance and strategic and innovative solutions to improve the EPA’s ability to regulate environmental matters and achieve environment protection more generally across NSW About you You are a motivated, committed and highly capable policy professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced and high-profile environments. You’re keen to contribute to policy initiatives that deliver meaningful environmental outcomes and make a difference for communities across NSW. The ideal candidate will bring experience in the following areas: Analytical skills and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, practical and high-quality policy advice Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly for a variety of audiences Experience in developing and evaluating complex policy, regulatory frameworks and reform initiatives Data analysis and the ability to interpret data to inform evidence-based policy advice Written communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including preparing high-quality briefings, reports and correspondence Ability to identify emerging risks and develop evidence-based, solutions-focused recommendations Understanding of regulatory, legislative and policy processes, including policy implementation and operational impacts.
