About The Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Solutions, the Furniture Project Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with primary and secondary schools to promote and sell classroom, library, and office furniture solutions. The role involves understanding the unique needs of each client, providing expert advice, and delivering tailored solutions that enhance learning environments across NSW and the ACT.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with school principals, business managers, and school procurement teams.
* Needs Assessment: Consult with clients to understand spatial, ergonomic, and functional needs within classroom and administration settings in schools.
* Product Expertise: Provide detailed information and guidance on school furniture ranges, including desks, seating, storage, and breakout spaces.
* Sales Process: Develop proposals, deliver quotes, conduct product presentations, and manage the end-to-end sales process.
* Project Submissions: Provide information on logistics, installation, product schedules and suppliers to our support team for accurate project management to ensure timely and accurate delivery and completion of projects.
* Reporting & CRM: Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions, quotes, and projects within the company CRM system.
* Industry Awareness: Stay informed about education trends, school infrastructure developments, and procurement processes in the sector.
* Internal Training: Provide training for COS Education Account Directors on classroom furniture to improve overall product knowledge and lead qualifying quality.
About You
* Proven sales experience, ideally within furniture, fit‐out, or education sectors.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach.
* Knowledge of learning space design and ergonomic considerations in education.
* Ability to read and interpret floor plans and layout designs (desirable).
* Background in educational furniture or interior design (desirable).
* Strong business acumen.
* Highly motivated and strategic.
* Passion for improving educational environments.
* Self‐motivated and goal‐oriented with strong time‐management skills.
