About the Role

This position is part of our People & Culture Team. It involves accurately completing the processing of our payroll each fortnight. Excellent communication is essential to this position.

Key Responsibilities

* You will be primarily responsible for ensuring that salaries, wages and other staffing costs (including Visiting Medical Officers and Board Members) are authorised and paid accurately, efficiently and in a timely and secure manner.
* The Payroll Officer provides support to payroll team members, People & Culture team members, Managers, and employees in relation to payroll matters.
* This position is negotiable up to full time and flexibility is on offer.

Qualifications & Experience

* Demonstrated experience administering a payroll of a medium size multi-discipline organisation.
* Strong and efficient administrator with a positive demeanour to deliver outstanding customer service.
* Strong computer literacy including payroll software and Microsoft (Word and Excel) experience.
* Excellent attention to detail including numerical problem-solving skills.
* Reliability and ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
* Commitment to work cohesively in a team environment.
* Ability to maintain strict information privacy (confidentiality).

Mandatory Requirements

* Dynamic, self-motivated and flexible individual able to respond and adapt to change, display empathy, prioritise and problem solve effectively with a positive "can‐do" attitude and eagerness to learn.
* Experience using SAP, Kronos, and an understanding of Health Sector Enterprise Agreements would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A Police Check valid within 12 months of issue date.
* Entitlement to work within Australia.
* Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions.
