Cyber Security Systems Engineer Role
The role of Cyber Security Systems Engineer is a key position within our organisation, responsible for contributing to the development, integration, and maintenance of systems. The successful candidate will work closely with senior system security engineers to design and implement system solutions that meet engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) documentation in line with industry best practices.
* Conduct threat and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend treatment controls and mitigation strategies.
* Participate in security working groups at Product and/or Project levels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Provide input to and review the development of system tests and analysis that verify system security controls, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
To excel in this role, the successful candidate will need to stay updated with industry trends and advancements in systems technology, assist in creating technical documentation and reports, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in cyber security engineering, software development, computer networks, and embedded software systems, preferably within a defence environment.
* Knowledge and experience related to Defence cyber security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes, including contemporary security engineering process, standards, principles, and best practice.
* Familiarity with complex systems, such as military systems, or related defence technologies, is desirable.
* Pursuing or achieved relevant cyber security certification(s), such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GIAC, etc., is preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
* A defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to be an Australian Citizen and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably NV1/NV2 level.
