Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Producer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our most ambitious projects, guiding them from initial concept to successful launch. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Scope large, complex projects, proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and establish a comprehensive risk register to guide mitigation strategies.
* Lead project staffing by ensuring the right team members are assigned at the right time to limit inefficiencies and facilitate smooth handoffs.
* Analyze sprint data and team velocity to accurately forecast impacts on the broader project roadmap and critical delivery milestones.
* Actively drive milestone planning activities with key stakeholders and take accountability for a healthy, well-refined project backlog that reflects current strategy.
* Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards with minimal oversight.
* Establish and nurture healthy, trusting relationships among all internal stakeholders and the development team to ensure strategic alignment and collaboration.
* Directly manage Assistant, Associate, and Mid-level producers, championing a culture of regular feedback through retrospectives, 1:1s, and surveys.
* Proactively identify opportunities for team member growth and partner with discipline leads to create clear pathways for learning and development.
* Deliver detailed reports that capture the status, overall health, and progress of the project for key stakeholders and leadership.
* Report on final project outcomes and key learnings to production and leadership, ensuring insights contribute to organization-wide best practices.
What You Bring to the Table:
* Proven experience managing large-scale projects with a strong track record of successful deliveries.
* Skilled in project scope management, identifying and addressing risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Deep understanding of game development pipelines, target platforms, and game engines (Unity, Unreal).
* Proficiency in staffing projects, ensuring efficient team allocation and seamless handoffs.
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting sprint data and forecasting its impact on roadmaps and milestones.
* Strong risk management skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks while maintaining a risk register.
* Ability to drive milestone planning activities and coordinate with key team members.
* Excellent relationship-building skills to foster trust among stakeholders and development teams.
* Proficiency in delivering detailed reports on project status and health for key stakeholders.
* Experience managing and mentoring producers, incorporating structured feedback through retrospectives, 1:1 meetings, and surveys.
