The bare roots of the job
Our Carbon Manager will lead a small team, taking primary responsibility for developing and modelling projects, carbon registrations, monitoring, audits and reporting frameworks to achieve ongoing compliance requirements.
Our successful candidate will be a people centric leader, who can develop the capability of team members and motivate to build a cohesive high performing team This position will collaborate to integrate carbon activities into operations, working closely with finance, plantations and forest operations, strategic planning and the resource information team to promote carbon schedules as a key consideration in decision making.

This role will suit an experienced professional who has a passion for the evolving carbon market and a keen interest in developing and leading others, who can demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including natural resource management, agriculture, forestry or business analytics/commerce
* Relevant work experience in a comparable leadership role/s with demonstrable people leadership and technical capability with a desire to build the capability of others
* Knowledge and understanding of carbon methodologies, Emissions Reduction Fund (or the ability to obtain) and the ability to interpret legislation, navigate ambiguity and maintain currency of knowledge in an evolving market
* Financial modelling capability with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships
* The ability to plan for and meet tight deadlines, including an attention to detail and the ability to self-review work for accuracy
