About the Role
As a Presales Solution Consultant, you are essential to the sales cycle and play an important role on the Sales team. You will use your subject matter expertise in the domain to provide support to the Sales team and help drive the sale by providing influence and credibility to C-level executives and Finance teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Opportunity support activity to prospective Finance clients and customers
2. Participating in discovery workshops with users to formulate and document business requirements, including business processes, procedures and work practices
3. Assisting in the development of winning and differentiating value propositions and themes/messaging to customers, in collaboration with the sales team
4. Developing and championing Workday-based solutions to client problems, communicating them with the customer, implementation partners and internal stakeholders. This may involve various formats/viewpoints, such as process flows, context diagrams, functional/technical descriptions and recordings and functional demonstrations
5. Leading RFP/RFI responses and develop solution overviews that map customer’s business initiatives to the Workday solution
6. Preparing for and conducting winning demonstrations of the Workday solution to create impact in customer evaluation processes; demonstrating to the value proposition and customer expectations
7. Building expertise in specific industries and presenting the value of Workday solutions to customers in those industries
8. Building trusted-advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders who are influencers and decision-makers in an evaluation process
9. Researching and highlighting the advantages of the Workday product and capability over legacy ERP and other SaaS systems
10. Continuously upgrading your skillsets and knowledge through the learning opportunities provided by Workday
About You
Basic Qualifications
11. Relevant Presales and/or Services Consulting with sufficient levels of experience in the ANZ region or experience working in the Finance and Accounting functions of corporations
12. More than 7+years experience in Finance systems and/or processes
13. SME in Finance Administration and Accounting (across all areas such as GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Multi-Company and Consolidations, Multi-Currency)
Other Qualifications
14. Exposure to Financial Management solutions from Workday, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft or similar would be an advantage
15. Strong understanding of additional Finance-related functions such as Procurement, Project Costing is beneficial
16. Ability to lead solutioning efforts with team members and/or Workday partners, to design and position comprehensive legacy-ERP replacement solutions
17. Experience in engagements with medium-sized and large enterprises in Australia and New Zealand, cutting across one or more of the following industries - FSI, Higher Education, Healthcare, Government and Public Services, Retail, Professional Services etc.
18. Ability to hold engage and create impact in C-level customer engagements (especially to the office of the CFO), with ability to communicate influentially and eventually develop a trusted-advisor relationship
19. Exceptional, dynamic presenter with strong communication and influencing skills
20. You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple, simultaneous engagements with different prospects
