Event Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to oversee the successful delivery of events at our venue. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event coordination, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Event Coordination: Oversee and supervise all allocated events, ensuring presentation and set-up meet client specifications.

* Client Liaison: Coordinate and liaise with clients to ensure all event requirements are met.

* Team Member Supervision: Lead and mentor event floor staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service.

* Quality Control: Conduct spot-checks to maintain presentation, quality of service and compliance with regulations.

* Financial Management: Ensure accurate event documentation, team member time sheets and proper inventory control.

* Team Development: Promote a positive work environment, assist with development of team members and ensure all staff undergo training and development.

* Efficiency & Planning: Participate in event planning and provide feedback to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.

* WHS & Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with WHS policies, manage safety during events and support environmental initiatives.

Required Skills:

* Proven experience in supervising front-of-house operations for events, conferences and banquets.
* Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team to meet performance targets.
* Exceptional customer service skills and ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers.
* In-depth understanding of the events industry, including local, national and international conference and banqueting trends.
* Solid knowledge of relevant laws and standards, including liquor licensing and WHS laws.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle challenging situations.
