About the Position
Our client is seeking a skilledLawyer or Associateto join theirSpecialty Lines Insurance teamin Brisbane.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take on intellectually engaging and high-stakes litigation work within a supportive, flexible environment.
You'll work on a diverse portfolio of complex litigated matters, including:
Construction and property damage claims
Directors and Officers (D&O) liability
Professional indemnity and complex personal injury cases
Policy coverage disputes
Contract negotiation and corporate risk advisory
The team services an impressive client base including international and national insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, brokers, underwriting agencies, and large listed and private companies.
This role offers exposure to multi-party disputes and large-scale claims, providing both challenge and development.
You'll be encouraged to build on your strengths and specialise in the areas of insurance law that interest you most, while being mentored by highly regarded senior practitioners in the field.
Key Requirements
3-5 years' PAE in insurance litigation or general commercial dispute resolution (private practice preferred)
Solid drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
A proactive, team-focused approach and excellent attention to detail
Experience working with insurer clients (defendant experience preferred)
Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines confidently
