An experienced Site Manager is required to oversee labour and subcontractors on commercial construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard, while maintaining compliance with Building Codes and company systems.

Role Overview
The Site Manager is responsible for supervising company labour and subcontractors onsite to ensure construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Building Codes, contractual requirements, and internal management systems. The role also involves maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and regulatory authorities while representing the business in a professional manner at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise company labour and subcontractors onsite to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard
* Manage daily site operations, including coordination of labour, subcontractors, site logistics, and material deliveries
* Ensure full compliance with WHSEQ requirements, ISO standards, the Building Code, contractual requirements, and internal management systems
* Carry out regular site inspections and complete Inspections and Test Plans to ensure quality control and defect-free delivery
* Assist the Project Manager with detailed construction programmes, monitor progress, and update schedules on a weekly and fortnightly basis
* Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, architects, government authorities, and all relevant stakeholders
* Ensure a thorough working knowledge of project documentation at all times, including drawings, specifications, and contracts
* Assist with general technical and administrative project activities and liaise with specialist consultants as required
* Induct subcontractors and ensure compliance with all site-specific, safety, and project requirements, including SWMS and JSA documentation
* Maintain a safe, compliant, and clean work environment, actively managing site safety, housekeeping, and a zero-harm culture
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven supervision experience in commercial construction
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Safety Supervisor training, HSR training, or equivalent qualification
* Strong understanding of construction documentation, specifications, and drawings
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong ownership mindset and ability to take accountability for outcomes
Desirable
* Trade background in construction or a related field
* Experience using Procore and Microsoft Office
* Ability to drive process improvements and site efficiencies
