Cyber Security Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in modern SecOps environments and is energised by automation, innovation and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
This role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane, with hybrid working aligned to team anchor days.
In this role you will:
* Own, engineer and optimise our security platforms including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Abnormal Security, Tenable, Varonis and AWS security services.
* Design, build and maintain SOAR automations using Logic Apps, Python, PowerShell and Azure Functions to support zero touch security operations.
* Build and tune detections across XDR, SIEM and behavioural analytics, improving signal quality and reducing false positives.
* Strengthen email, identity and human risk security by integrating behavioural and identity signals into detections and automations.
* Provide SME support to the SOC and service partners while uplifting documentation, playbooks and operational processes.
* Participate in an on-call roster approximately every three weeks with an on call allowance.
This permanent role sits within the Security Operations and Engineering team and plays a critical part in advancing Stockland's security maturity.

Experience & Skills That Count
* Strong experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
* Experience building SOAR automations and scripting with Python, PowerShell or Logic Apps.
* Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with background in SecOps or security engineering.
* Familiarity with AWS and cloud security architectures.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a people centred approach.
