About the Role
A Windows 11 Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the transition of systems from older versions of Windows (like Windows 10 or 7) to Windows 11 in an organization. This role often combines technical expertise, project management, and user support.
Evaluate the current IT setting for hardware/software compatibility with Windows 11.
Conduct application compatibility assessments using tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, or Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK).
Identify systems that require upgrades or replacement before migration.
Develop a comprehensive Windows 11 migration strategy and roadmap.
Build and customize Windows 11 images for deployment (WIM files, provisioning packages, etc.).
Integrate necessary drivers, security updates, and corporate software.
