As a Business Development Manager, you will be the vital link between People First Bank and our network of mortgage brokers across South Australia. This is an opportunity to make real impact—driving sustainable home lending growth while delivering an outstanding experience to brokers and their customers.
Reporting into our Lending & Insights team, you will be responsible for establishing, nurturing and growing a high-performing broker network aligned to our strategic growth objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Proactive day to day management of our broker partnerships to effectively grow the broker business in line with growth aspirations and corporate strategies
* Development and implementation of business development and growth plans to acquire and nurture broker partnerships
* Leading broker accreditation, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management programs
* Building effective, strong and collaborative internals partnerships, to ensure delivery of the broker proposition in line with SLAs and KPIs
* Attending industry events to build and strengthen broker networks
* Providing leadership, guidance, coaching and support to the broker lending team
About You
You are an experienced Business Development professional within the mortgage lending industry who understands how to drive growth through trusted relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven Business Development Management experience within the home lending and broker channel
* A strong network across mortgage brokers (highly regarded)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in home lending
* Experience working within credit risk frameworks and operating within risk appetite
* Strong understanding of real estate lending practices and the mortgage broking industry
* Demonstrated success achieving lending growth and performance targets
* Confidence presenting to groups and influencing senior stakeholders
* Experience using loan origination systems and Microsoft Office
Highly regarded:
* Diploma of Finance (Mortgage Broking) or relevant business qualification
