About the Role:
St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking Psychiatric Nurses (RPN2) to work in Mental Health. As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to consumers and their families, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. You will have opportunities for learning and development, including specialist skills and integrated Adult Area Mental Health Service.
This role requires providing a supportive and therapeutic environment that promotes independence, opportunity, and recovery. You will work within the Strengths Model of Recovery Oriented Practice, upholding a culture of hope using optimistic and positive language to support consumers and celebrate their recovery efforts.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and ability to conduct basic mental health assessments, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution skills. They should be able to work within a multidisciplinary team and with multiple stakeholders, including consumers, carers, family members, and community agencies.
