Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our Work In Darwin Is Varied And Provides a Strong Base In Working With People With a Range Of Underlying Developmental And Mental Health Related Issues. Our Darwin Team Complete a Range Of Assessments With Diverse Client Populations Including

* Early childhood developmental assessment
* FASD assessment
* ASD assessment
* Psychosocial assessment
* Behavioural assessment
* Parenting capacity assessment (often inclusive of mental health assessment)
* Dementia assessment
* Forensic assessment

The use of assessments relating to learning difficulties, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. are also utilised as appropriate.

Psychological intervention, therapy and behaviour support services are provided using a diverse range of modalities inclusive of individual, family based and service system interventions.

Our client groups are diverse, and while largely funded through NDIS and Territory Families, are inclusive of a wide range of presentations stemming from developmental trauma, developmental disability, neuro developmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, and mental health issues.

While our office base and primary work is in Darwin, we also offer a range of opportunities to work regionally (e.g. Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities. There is also an option to work from home for administration / report writing.

Criteria Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology and minimum of 3 years experience as a Psychologist with general AHPRA registration;
* Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and / or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
* Experience in providing a broad range of psychological assessment, incl. multidisciplinary assessment, clinical and / or behaviour assessment, risk assessment, etc.
* Experience in delivering therapy to children, young adults and adults with disabilities and with cognitive impairment in a range of modalities;
* Experience in providing supervision to less experienced practitioners in a clinical setting is desirable but not essential.

Due to the nature of our business, it is required that our staff:

* have a current Driver's Licence;
* have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.
* are willing to adhere to the Government requirements regarding vaccinations for workers in certain sectors.
