Your New Position

Are you an experienced Senior Project Officer ready to lead and contribute to a high-impact project? We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the successful execution of an exciting project.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support, ensuring that project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and assist senior management in overseeing the project's progress.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Leadership & Support: Provide senior-level support to the Project Manager and project leads, ensuring effective project and resource planning.
- Documentation & Reporting: Oversee the development of key project documentation, including status reports, presentations, and other project deliverables. Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and align with project goals.
- Risk & Issue Management: Lead risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities. Ensure all risks are documented and managed proactively, with escalation as required.
- Governance & Administration: Provide high-level administrative support to governance boards, including preparing agendas, minute-taking, and ensuring effective communication with senior executives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, manage expectations, and maintain clear communication channels across all parties involved.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting: Lead the monitoring and reporting of project components, including schedules, interdependencies, and communication activities. Provide regular updates to senior staff, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Actively contribute to cross-functional project teams, offering guidance and support to less experienced team members while fostering a collaborative working environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Experience: Significant experience in a Senior Project Officer or similar role, with proven success in managing complex projects and working with a range of stakeholders.
- Project Management Expertise: Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent), and the ability to apply these frameworks to drive project success.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead project activities, manage resources effectively, and provide guidance to project teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated success in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex project requirements and outcomes clearly and effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and take proactive steps to address them.
